Bodies and Souls Errata: I've been informed that ravens do not flock in "murders"; crows get that cool name. Christopher Jackson (one of the best playtesters ever) not only broke my black heart with this news but told me the alternatives: an unkindness of ravens, a conspiracy of ravens, or a constable of ravens. Conspiracy is probably my favorite of the lot and I have no idea why anyone would use "constable". Still, I prefer my ravens dark and terrible so I'm considering just making up a few alternatives. Perhaps a damnation of ravens, or an excommunication of ravens, or a Liquid Hell of ravens...

"Bodies and Souls: 20 Templates" provides 20 creature templates for the d20 system; it's a strange mix of horror, comic book, and B sci-fi movie creatures that can fit in a variety of settings, from fantasy to far future. Templates are some of the most powerful and flexible tools in the d20 system and this book is devoted to them.

The book includes possessions, arcane diseases and corruptions, and mystical powers. Several of the templates have special rules for application to player characters; these should help smooth out the problems that typically crop up when allowing players to take templates. In addition to the following templates the book includes rules for making exorcism an exciting conflict and guidelines for how to turn any outsider into a possessor. The templates marked "PC ready" include alternative rules to ease the use of them for player characters.

Bodies and Souls will be available through RPGNow and should be available through the ENWorld online store starting on June 1. In addition to the following I'm adding some electronically-enhanced features. One feature is a button you can press to suppress the graphics in the document if you'd like to save some ink (the artists have done a really nice job though). Note, this feature does not reflow the text so you'll see holes when it prints. It will include bookmarks to make online use more convenient and, since it incorporates some open content from sources other than the SRD, I'll have popup text for those items giving a more complete description. For the printout though I assume readers prefer the extraneous bits left out.
